Fig. 1: Top) Spectrogram for the last 24 hours from station MENE, located ~13 km northwest of Pu`u `O`o crater and ~7 km from Halema`uma`u. Bottom) PMCC detections from station MENE for the last 24 hours. The arrival azimuth of each coherent detection family is on the y-axis, the number of detections in the family scales the marker size, and the color denotes the weighted mean frequency of the family. Pu`u `O`o lies at ~112° from the array while the Halema`uma`u Gas Vent (HGV) is at ~250°.

Fig. 7: Acoustic energy calculation for the last hour for the HGV. Infrasound array data is high-pass filtered above 0.1 Hz and split into 60 sec windows. The top panel shows the correlation value from PMCC between 0.1-6 Hz for azimuths within +/-7 degs from HGV. If the correlation value is above 0.5, the data segment is considered coherent. The middle panel shows the filtered waveform. If the section is red, the signal correlation value is too low or its azimuth is off the target beam. If it is black, it is coherent and arriving from the HGV azimuth, and the incident acoustic source energy is estimated.. The bottom panel shows the calculated acoustic source energy for the time window. The sum of the bottom panel values is shown in Fig. 5.
